We don’t just talk about it – we also do it. This is the »mechatronics« area in our production facility. We deliberately have a large range of »vertical manufacturing«. Because this puts us in a position to control the schedule of our projects in the implementation phase, to set priorities, and to manufacture spare parts required at short notice for after sales support.
We like »heavy weights«, too. Therefor, we have an extensive range of conveyors for the handling of pallets and pallet cages. In the loading zone of our production warehouse you can see our conveyors for heavy loads in use, controlled and organized by our psb selektron software.
In our production facility, we employ an Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV) carobot system. Here, for example, our »AGV friend« picks up a pallet and hauls it to the assembly area – fully automated – laser guided, of course, and without any floor installation requirements.
In the final assembly, intralogistics modules are put together, tested and commissioned. This guarantees a faster and cost-effective installation on site.
This is our electrical engineering department; there, control cabinets are wired and assembled, and components, as AGVs or load handling units for AS/RS systems, are equipped with their electronic controls.
In the psb technology center, the system installations for our customers are examined very thoroughly, prior to delivery, and new developments, as well as pilot series, are made and tested, ready for being offered in the market. Whenever you will visit us in Pirmasens, you will be able to see modular sections of system installations for customers.
We provide parts, for our current implemented projects in our facilities, out of our own warehouse for purchased and spare parts. Or we supply our customers with spare parts on demand. Here, too, sophisticated psb technology allows for fast and transparent processes.
The psb maxloader, for the automated storage of pallets and pallet cages, is setting standards with reference to performance, operating crane weight and productive efficiency. We employ the maxloader for the storage of heavy purchased parts and spare parts as, e.g., geared motors, cable reels, etc.
Our small parts warehouse for bins (3 aisles, double-deep storage) is operated with sprinter AS/RS systems. Modern conveyor components connect the warehouse with the three order picking workstations. As a matter of course, all system installations, and the workstations, are managed and organized by our selektron software system.
In intralogistics, retrofit is a topic of very high importance. Quite a number of our system installations have been operated by our customers already for more than 30 years. Therefore, in the fourse of a »system life« the equipment should undergo a retrofit. Only recently, we, at psb, have upgraded our small parts warehouse, in order to be set for the next few years.

Automated small parts warehouse for the storage of bins/totes of different sizes, with a variety of order picking stations and techniques. Experience the speed of the sprinter AS/AR system. The order picking technique at the live storage channel is especially suitable for the distribution of goods; supporting functional elements, such as scales or manual scanners, can be tested directly.
